It's nice when you are on vacation and have the chance to write about things like

Spider Monkey Sex Organs

While roaming the primate cages of the Calgary Zoo today, I was surprised to find that what I thought were male Spider Monkeys due to their, ahem, apendages, were actually females.

Apparently, this organ, which is dinnermint pink in colour and dangles freely at a length of about 15 cm, is actually a clitoris. While no one seems to be really sure, some researchers think that it holds and releases urine as the female travels arounds. When males smell this lovely perfume they can then tell if the gal who dribbled it is in the mood for some monkeying around.
